New Delhi: US President Donald Trump has brought a storm on the internet by mentioning Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge during his speech. Trump was addressing the crowd at the Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad on his maiden India visit. During his speech, he called DDLJ one among many classic films that the Indian film fraternity has given the world. 

Five years ago, Barack Obama had also mentioned DDLJ’s famous dialogue during his Republic Day visit to India. Addressing to a crowd at the Siri Fort auditorium in New Delhi, Obama had begun his speech with, “Senorita… badi badi deshon mein… you know what I mean…” leaving the nation awestruck. 

Now Shah Rukh Khan’s fans are going gaga over Trump’s mention. Twitter has been flooded with DDLJ’s mention and has also started trending shortly after Trump’s Namaste India meet.

In his speech at Namaste Trump event, US President Donald Trump was quoted as saying, “All over the planet, people take great joy in scenes of bhangra, music, dance, romance and drama… and classic Indian films like DDLJ and Sholay… You cheer on great cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.”
