MANILA, Philippines – Foreign countries have offered the Philippines help as a large swath of the country deals with the devastation brought about by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (Trami).

Kristine, the biggest storm to affect the country under the Marcos administration so far, has impacted the lives of millions of Filipinos, especially those in hardest-hit areas such as Bicol and Batangas.

Many areas are still submerged in floodwater days after the severe tropical storm hit land, making it difficult for vehicles to transport much-needed relief to affected areas.

In particular, Social Welfare Secretary Rex Gatchalian had earlier noted that potable water was a “main concern” in Camarines Sur — an issue that he said would be addressed if the country was able to deploy using C-130s.

Here is a list of countries helping the Philippines in the wake of Kristine:

Singapore

Singapore’s Air Force C-130 aircraft has arrived at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City to provide airlift support.

“The Singapore Armed Forces deployed the RSAF C-130 transport aircraft at the request of the Philippine government to aid in humanitarian efforts,” the Office of Civil Defense said in a Facebook post on Saturday, October 26.

Malaysia

A helicopter from Malaysia also arrived at the Villamor Air Base, the OCD said on Saturday.
