Carlos Alcaraz started his 2025 Australian Open with a bang. Defeating Kazakhstan’s Alexander Shevchenko in the first round, the 21-year-old tennis star has blitzed into the second round. And the figure skating community wasn’t late to note how it would love to call Carlos its own.

Alcaraz won his first match of the 2025 Grand Slam at the Margaret Court Arena 6-1 7-5 6-1 on Monday. With that, he’s now slated to lock horns with Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka in the Round of 64 today. However, right now, figure skating fans only want to see if Carlos has more of his stance where it came from.

“Has a better leg and position than some skaters,” one fan noted his admiration at how the tennis icon looked comfortable in stretching himself out without breaking a sweat.
