He believes she’s the key contributor in taking the nation closer to its second United Cup title. “Coco did such a good job putting us ahead and giving me the chance to come out and put us through,” he said as reported by the event’s official website on Wednesday. “There was a little bit of pressure because I didn’t want to be the one who loses it for the team after Coco won all her matches this week,” he added.

On the other hand, Gauff also thinks the same about the World No.4 ATP pro. During the semifinal match on Saturday, Fritz managed to seal his singles encounter against Tomas Machac. The latter decided to abruptly retire due to cramps and pain in his left knee. That time, Machac was actually leading 7-6(4), 5-3. But with his withdrawal, Fritz succeeded in moving ahead.
