Russian Actress Dies During Yoga Session After Getting Swept By Massive Wave On Thailand Beach

Russian actress Kamilla Belyatskaya tragically lost her life after being swept away by a giant wave at a beach. The tragedy occurred at the Laad Koh viewpoint on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand where the 24-year-old was sitting on a rock and practicing yoga. Her last moments were caught on camera before she was dragged into the waters by a nine-foot wave.

The video shows her meditating on the rocks at the shore before tragedy struck. According to the New York Post, a rescue operation was launched to save the woman but to no avail. Her body was reportedly found a few kilometres away from where she was meditating. Pictures also show her pink yoga mat left behind.

Her death might reportedly have resulted from the delay in rescue teams reaching her due to bad weather. As a result of the incident, Samui City Municipality has closed access to the rocky area which is not a swimming area but just a viewpoint.

Prior to the tragedy, the actress was reportedly spotted arriving at the location in a red car. She is said to have belonged from Novosibirsk city in Siberia and visited Thailand with her boyfriend.

Reports say that Kamilla was ironically quite fond of the location and had talked about it on social media. According to Daily Mail, she called the beach in one of her posts “the best thing I’ve ever seen.”
