Central Okanagan Search & Rescue (COSARS) is gearing up for its 13th annual Halloween Pumpkin Patrol, scheduled for Halloween night.
This year, COSAR members will focus their efforts on the Kettle Valley neighbourhood, aiming to ensure a safe environment for young trick-or-treaters.
Members of COSAR will be easily identifiable in their bright yellow jackets or festive costumes as they patrol the area, distributing candy and offering assistance to children who may become separated from their parents.
The organization will also have response vehicles on hand.
Residents are asked to respect their slower driving speeds during the event.
This year COSAR is celebrating 70 years of service.
