BBC The One Show viewers were left flabbergasted by a jaw-dropping interview with Hollywood icon Keanu Reeves. Alex Jones played host to the star of The Matrix and John Wick on Wednesday’s show (October 23) where fans were left in disbelief over his youthful appearance.

During their conversation, Alex remarked on Keanu’s enduring youthfulness: “Many milestones this year for you, Keanu.” To which Keanu responded, “Well, I’ve turned 60 this year.”

Alex, incredulous, exclaimed: “You cannot be 60!” But Reeves confirmed with a nod: “I am 60 years old.”

Social media was abuzz as viewers expressed their astonishment, with one tweeting: “Gorgeous at 60. The man is timeless #TheOneShow,” reports Birmingham Live.

Another was equally amazed, posting: “Keanu Reeves is nearly 60?! How is this man not aging?!” Keanu appeared on the show alongside best-selling author China MieĢville to discuss their collaborative sci-fi novel, The Book of Nowhere. He shared fond memories of working with Sandra Bullock, saying: “It was so nice. Sandra Bullock and I get along so well and it’s always nice to see her so it was nice to hang out for a little bit.”

Additionally, he divulged a missed opportunity from his earlier career aspirations, revealing: “When I was growing up I wanted to play the Batman, for sure.” The star, renowned for his roles in blockbuster hits like The Matrix and John Wick, fondly recalled the little screen’s caped crusader from his youth, confessing: “I watched the television series when I was a kid. I really enjoyed it. Batman sounded like it would be fun.”

He then mused on missed opportunities, remarking that: “I think my Batman ship has sailed.” However, the star did get a taste of Gotham, noting: “But I did get to play it in an animated film. It was a good day.”
