TIM Walz has drawn comparisons to President Joe Biden after viewers noticed frequent pauses and confused looks from the Democratic candidate during the vice presidential debate.
Kamala Harris’ running mate stopped in the middle of his sentence multiple times at the CBS debate on Tuesday night, prompting concerns about his age.
Americans shared concerns for Walz while he faced off against Donald Trump’s running mate JD Vance on the debate floor in New York City in what was likely the last time a candidate from either ticket would address the nation in prime time.
“Is Walz just Biden Jr?” one X user asked.
“Is it me or does Walz have a glimmer of the same dazed looks Biden gave Trump?” another wrote.
“Why does walz keep pausing it’s so jarring and reminds me of biden?” another shared.
“Cmon coach put some pep in your step!!”
Walz is 60 years old – 21 years younger than Biden, who bowed out of the race in July.

In a Truth Social post, Trump also poked fun at Walz for taking notes while Vance was talking.
“More notes! Why can’t Walz just remember what he has to say? Low IQ!” the Republican presidential candidate posted.
This isn’t the first time Walz’s age has been in conversation as people have often pointed out that the dad-of-two looks older than he is.
Earlier this year, a social media post sent shockwaves by revealing Harris and Walz are the same age, highlighting that Walz has lost his hair while Harris hasn’t started to gray.
Walz, a former high school teacher, responded to the post with a joke implying that he looked older because he “supervised the lunchroom for 20 years.”
“You do not leave that job with a full head of hair. Trust me,” he wrote.
Walz faced the age concern with lighthearted humor just months ago – but now, the issue is worrying viewers as they noticed the VP-hopeful appeared uncomfortable on the debate stage.
“Tim Walz looks nervous. I mean, makes sense. But still,” one viewer noted at the beginning of the face-off.
“Walz get it together we can tell you are nervous,” another warned.

The 60-year-old is a retired teacher and former non-commissioned officer in the Army National Guard.
Walz graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2001 and Chadron State College in 1989.
He has been married to his wife and fellow teacher Gwen Walz since 1994.
The pair share two children named Hope and Gus, who were conceived through IVF and fertility treatments, per the Star Tribune.

Walz was born in West Point, Nebraska, in 1964, and grew up in Valentine.
He is known for being punctual and graduated from Butte High School in Butte, Nebraska, in 1982.
In 1989, he taught English in China and learned to speak Mandarin.
Walz quit drinking alcohol after he got a DWI in Nebraska in 1995.
Troopers pulled him over for going 96 mph in a 55 mph zone, and a breathalyzer test found his blood alcohol concentration was .128, according to court records.
After he was arrested, he struck a plea deal to reduce the charges, which was a topic of conversation when he first ran for Congress in 2006.
When state troopers drive Walz in the state SUV as part of his governorship, he sits in the front passenger seat because he gets carsick in the back seats, per the Star Tribune.
When Walz was 19, his father died of lung cancer. His mother, Darlene Rose, still lives in Nebraska.
The comparisons to Biden could be coming to mind because earlier this year, Democrats started calling for the President to exit the presidential race once he stumbled through the first debate.
The commander-in-chief later said he was suffering a cold during the debate against Trump, but it didn’t stop voters from sharing their distrust in Biden as the election approached.
Biden’s failed debate against Trump was the catalyst for his exit from the race as Americans worried about his ability to run following his mumbled rants and confused stares.
He struggled to answer questions and appeared to freeze on stage at multiple points, staring off into the distance before snapping back into it and speaking in a low tone.
At one point, Trump complained that he couldn’t understand what the president was saying through the awkward act.
“I really don’t know what he said at the end of that sentence. I don’t think he knows what he said either,” the Republican candidate said.

As concerns swirl about Walz’s age and competency, a Republican strategist predicted that the debate would expose holes in Walz’s policies.
The debate brought some tense moments as Vance and Walz clashed on issues including abortion and immigration.
Adding to the Walz age concerns were a few Biden-style blunders throughout the debate.
Walz caught heat from viewers when he said he’s “become friends with school shooters” during the topic of gun control.
Trump was among those outraged, writing on Truth Social, “Did Tampon Tim just say he has ‘become friends with school shooters?’
“He isn’t even qualified to be Governor, let alone Vice President. Walz and Kamala DO NOT HAVE WHAT IT TAKES!” Trump slammed.
Trump also pointed out another comparison to Biden when Walz addressed the audience as “folks” in his closing statement.
