Foo Fighters ‘set to take break’ after frontman Dave Grohl revealed he’d fathered love child
THE FOO FIGHTERS are rumoured to be announcing a hiatus.
It comes after frontman Dave Grohl revealed earlier this month that he has a secret love child and is fighting to save his 21-year marriage to model wife Jordyn Blum.

The rock band announced they had cancelled their appearance at this weekend’s Soundside Festival in Connecticut, US, with just days to go, and were replaced by Jack White.
A source said: “The band need time to be with their families and focus on regrouping.
“It’s been a turbulent few years, with the loss of their best friend, drummer Taylor Hawkins, the death of Dave’s mum and now the birth of his new child.
“He wants to be at home and focus on earning back the trust of his family.

“Being on the road isn’t the best thing for any of them at the moment.
“It feels like a hiatus is the best thing for them collectively.”
Earlier this month, Dave admitted in a post on Instagram that he had fathered a love child. He wrote: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.
“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.
“We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved as we move forward together.”
Dave and Jordyn have three daughters — Violet Maye, 18, Harper Willow, 15, and ten-year-old Ophelia Saint. His life was turned upside down when Taylor died unexpectedly in 2022.
The drummer’s body was found in a hotel in Bogota, Colombia, where the group was due to play a music festival.
The source added of Dave’s bond with Taylor: “The two were inseparable.
“It’s been a very dark period in his life.”
When I approached the band’s spokesman, he declined to comment.
Nirvana drummer turned Foos frontman Dave, who has held the unofficial title of the “nicest man in rock” for decades, has been on hiatus with the Foos before — first in 2012 and then in 2016.
Hopefully, in time, they’ll be back in fighting form . . .

Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, Rachel Stevens, Jo O’Meara and Bradley McIntosh picked up a lucrative fee after filming the supermarket’s traditional festive telly treat.
It comes after the success of the band’s recent reunion tour. A source said: “S Club have loved reuniting and are taking full advantage of offers while they enjoy renewed interest again.
“The theme of this year’s Waitrose campaign is 90s nostalgia, so the collaboration seemed perfect.
“Despite the celeb cameo the food is still thought to be taking the spotlight.”
Last year Waitrose signed up chatshow host Graham Norton for a house party-themed festive advert.
Waitrose and S Club declined to comment. But I’m sure they were all fed and watered on the shoot.
IMAGINE THAT, SYDNIE!
SYDNIE CHRISTMAS has picked the song for her Royal Variety Performance in November.

The Britain’s Got Talent winner will perform a cover of Believer by Imagine Dragons for the King and Queen at the Royal Albert Hall.
Of the song choice, Sydnie, whose album My Way drops next Friday, said: “I love Imagine Dragons and I also love lyrics and this song has the best lyrics to it.
“Anything inspirational and about the fight with life I am all about, so that is why I have done this song.
“I’ve done a twist with this song and if ever there was another James Bond film to come out I would like to be in the corner like, ‘Hello…’”
Looks like Sydnie could soon be doubling up as a secret agent.

First the pop queen got to meet viral baby king penguin Pesto at Melbourne’s Sea Life Aquarium and then she headlined the AFL Grand Final in the city on Saturday.
Wearing a futuristic blue breast plate and white shorts, Katy took to the stage in front of 100,000 fans at the MCG ahead of the Brisbane Lions versus Sydney Swans game.
One standout moment was her duet of breakout-hit, I Kissed A Girl, with Aussie songstress Tina Arena.
The set also included songs from Katy’s latest album 143 as well as Roar – an apt choice given the Lions went on to win – Dark Horse, California Gurls, Teenage Dream and Firework.
She is reported to have pocketed a cool £2.5million for the show.
Not bad for 20 minutes’ work.
HE is the pin-up of British tennis, but it seems world No20 Jack Draper is yet to find his perfect match after joining celebrity dating app Raya.
The sportsman revealed he is looking for love in Tokyo while playing there in the Japan Open.
He said he is “visiting Tokyo” and linked his profile to Kanye West’s Can’t Tell Me Nothing.
He even included snaps of himself on Wimbledon’s Centre Court and lounging in a field during a shoot for British Vogue, where he revealed: “I quite enjoy being in front of the camera – if I’m looking good, that is.”
But it seems Jack may be too busy preening to clock potential dates after failing to recognise Zendaya at the US Open.
He said: “Everyone was making a big fuss over this girl and I had no idea who she was.”
I can’t imagine Jack is ever overlooked by the ladies . . .

He was pictured with brunette Kate, who calls herself a “professional witch” on social media, earlier this year.
Andrew’s previous dates include model Alyssa Miller, Rita Ora and Bridgerton’s Phoebe Dynevor.
