Taylor Fritz Flaunts His Multilingual Skills to Impress Girlfriend Morgan Riddle as He Wins Her Over With a Cheeky Verbal Flex

No rest for the wicked and all the more proactiveness for Taylor Fritz whenever he has a chance to impress his girlfriend. After enjoying a stellar year, and having made major strides, the American No. 1 touched down in Tokyo for the Japan Open. Supporting him, Fritz’s lover Morgan Riddle also announced her arrival in the nation, where she plans to cheer him on again. Subsequently, the influencer shared a surprising update with fans, a sweet gesture from Fritz that is bound to earn him support from the Japanese crowd too!

A full-time social media influencer, Riddle left her job to travel with her boyfriend Fritz and post tennis-related content all around the globe. Having earned a massive 400,000 followers base, the 27-year-old updated users with the American talent’s latest assignment. Taking to her official Instagram account, Riddle posted a video of the World No. 7 having a snack with a screengrab insert of their chat included. What came next was Fritz’s aim to up his bilingual side.

In hopes of impressing Riddle, the 26-year-old ATP star claimed he was about to register “insane Japanese” speaking skills in his catalog.  Furthermore, it was also revealed that Fritz took advantage of Duolingo, a popular app known to offer many language and music courses. “I been taking Japanese on Duolingo this week. UR about to hear some crazy Japanese from me.” After uploading the World No. 7’s multilingual oath, Riddle posted a story wherein her partner taught her how to ask for water in Japanese.

For those unaware, the couple has been dating since 2020. They met via a sought-after dating app Raya. Since then, Riddle has regularly documented the life of an ATP player’s girlfriend on the professional circuit for her social media fanbase. Moreover, the 2024 US Open finalist’s lover also added more stories to her IG. This time, Fritz’s Japanese speaking skills were showcased in real time.

The American was last witnessed in action at the Laver Cup, wherein he lost to Team Europe’s Carlos Alcaraz and with it, Team World’s chance for a three-peat this season. However, that did not stop him from earning praise from a notable personality.

Taylor Fritz is having the best season of his career this year. Naturally, the American superstar was bound to catch praise from the sport’s finest. This time, Andy Roddick stepped into the area to offer his opinion on the 26-year-old’s work ethic.

Following his US Open heartbreak, Fritz became the first American since Roddick in 2009 to reach the summit clash of a Grand Slam event. In the latest episode of his ‘Served with Andy Roddick’ podcast, the former World No. 1 commended his countryman’s resilience to fight to the nail with Spaniard Alcaraz, despite enduring the tough loss in New York two weeks ago. “I was impressed with Fritz getting back in there after the US Open disappointment, he deserves credit. Even fought back from a break-down in that second set against Carlos when he was being completely outplayed.”

The top seed will lock horns with Arthur Fils in the Japan Open’s opener. Both players will mark their maiden clash on the Tour, deeming the match-up more exciting for fans to speculate on September 26, Thursday.
