iPhone 16 Sale Kicks Off: Massive Crowds Gather In Front Of Apple Stores In Mumbai, Delhi

The buzz around the launch of any new gadget in India is always electric, and when it comes to the iPhone event, the excitement reaches a new peak. In a video that surfaced, a huge crowd was seen running towards an Apple store in Mumbai to put their first hands on the newly launched iPhone 16 as it goes on sale for customers today, September 20.

The video showing long queues outside the Apple store at Mumbai’s BKC – India’s first Apple store, has gone viral on social media. Apple, known for the annual launching of its iPhone series and other products, has rolled out the iPhone 16 lineup in almost 60 countries including India, South Korea, China and Australia.

A customer named Akshay said that he travelled from Surat in Gujarat to reach the Apple store at 6 am to get his hands on the latest iPhone 16. “I came at 6 am. I purchased the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I liked iOS 18 and the zoom camera quality has become better now, I came from Surat.”

Similar visuals were reported from Delhi’s Saket Apple store as well where the crowd thronged the shop to purchase the new launch in iPhone series. The video showed people standing in long queues waiting for the store to open.

Apple’s much-anticipated iPhone 16 series – including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max – is now officially available for purchase starting today, September 20.

Apple has managed to surprise its customers with the pricing of the iPhone 16 series starting at Rs 79,900 for the base model’s price. The iPhone 16 Pro is priced at Rs 15,000 lower than last year’s iPhone 15 Pro, starting at Rs 1,19,900.
