India vs China Hockey LIVE: India take on China in the final of the Men’s Asian Champions Trophy final in a bid to defend their title.
Harmanpreet Singh and Co. enter the final as the overwhelming favourites, having walloped their opponents in the round robin stage and semi-final to remain unbeaten.
In the league phase match between these two sides, on the opening day of the tournament, India had easily won 3-0.
In the semi-finals on Monday, India beat Korea 4-1 courtesy a brace from captain Harmanpreet and more goals from Uttam Singh and Jarmanpreet Singh. China, meanwhile, stunned Pakistan in the first semi-final with a win in penalty shoot-out after there was no victor in regulation time (1-1).
India, the top-ranked team in the continent, the Asian Games champions, the Paris Olympics bronze medallists, are expected to win here. Anything less would be a massive surprise as Indian hockey enters a new era under the goalkeeping of Krishan Pathak who takes over from legendary PR Sreejesh.
