Youtuber IShowSpeed found himself in a precarious situation while attempting to drive a tuk-tuk in Thailand. A tuk-tuk, a three-wheeled motorised vehicle commonly used by locals to traverse, was being demonstrated to him when he accidentally put it in gear, causing it to accelerate rapidly. As the vehicle picked up speed, IShowSpeed lost control, leading to a crash into a wall, where he hit his head on the roof of the tuk-tuk, leaving him visibly shaken.
In a video that is doing rounds on social media, IShowSpeed can be seen struggling as the tuk-tuk jerks forward. Despite his frantic efforts to stop it, the vehicle continued to accelerate and just before the crash, he was heard shouting to stop it. “Oh s**t, Oh s**t Wait, hold on. Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop!” he screamed. After the crash, he quickly jumped out of the tuk-tuk, kneeling on the ground and holding his head in pain.
Shortly after the crash, it was revealed that IShowSpeed had accidentally driven the tuk-tuk into a temple wall. The monks from the temple invited him to offer prayers and apologise. In a circulating video, IShowSpeed can be seen respectfully joining his hands and bowing before the monk in apology. He is also seen explaining to the monk what went wrong while he was attempting to drive the tuk-tuk.
The Youtuber’s accident became a viral sensation online, racking up more than 4.5 lakh views so far. The video also sparked a variety of reactions from social media users. Here’s how people reacted:
One user commented, “There’s no way that was an accident. Intentionally crashing a tuktuk into a temple for content is pretty low.”
Another added, “Loses control? There was no control to begin with. He actively started accelerating into a wall.”
“Speed is wilding out already this era gonna be lit,” someone else remarked.
A person quipped, “He lives by his name! SPEEEEEED.”
“IShowSpeed’s need for speed finally met its match – a Thai tuk-tuk’s brakes! Who knew slowing down could be so hard?” another comment read.
The streamer’s first day in Thailand was quite eventful. While riding an elephant, he nearly encountered another accident. As the elephant’s handler directed it to stand on its hind legs, the sudden movement threw IShowSpeed off balance, causing him to fall when the animal came back down.
