Japanese WTA star Naomi Osaka is in full tourist mode right before the Madrid Open with her dazzling fashion sense. While making a lot of rounds on social media, among many of her followers, legendary American tennis star Venus Williams steals the show with her comment. Osaka was on a break to give birth to her daughter Shai. While this Japanese tennis star, earlier returned with Brisbane International, the first few tournaments including the BNP Paribas Open 2024 ended for her on a sad note.
However, Osaka is not in the mood to sit back and be sad. Instead, she opted to challenge her skills in clay court, something that is not her happiest fighting platform. Amidst all of these, Osaka takes a tennis detox delighting herself before the match.

However, before jumping into the Mutua Madrid Open, Osaka tried to refresh her mind with a small tour of the city. She dropped a set of pictures on her official Instagram profile where she was wearing dual-shaded dark blue and denim-colored baggy jeans with a grey V-neck loose-fitted sweater. She carried a shiny Louis Vuitton handbag, slippers from the same luxury brand, and white sunglasses, and donned many pairs of beautiful and beaded earrings to accessorize her look. Sharing those pictures, Osaka captioned it- “oh me oh mai.”
However, fans went gaga, when they noticed the first comment of this Instagram post was by America’s legendary WTA player Venus Williams. Williams commented- “I love this for you.” For Osaka fans, it was nothing less than a huge achievement. After many failures, Venus Williams’s heartwarming message surely inspired the Japanese tennis star.

Venus Williams’s gesture for Naomi Osaka showcased the positive spirit of tennis. Osaka who has been an ardent Serena Williams fan, revealed her biggest career moment when she faced off against the famous Williams sisters on the court.
“Serena person” Naomi Osaka cannot forget those two days when she defeated the Williams sisters and she calls it genuinely as the “best day of her life”. In a show with Nick Kyrgios, Osaka revealed that she met Venus Williams on the court when her career was being established. She felt ecstatic about the moment and said– “I am not sure because I feel like growing up. I dreamed of the moment so many times, and then to finally experience it in real life. It kind of felt like I was watching myself on TV. So a bit out of body.”

Osaka also revealed how the Williams sisters inspired her tennis journey. She further said- “I think that her legacy is really wide, to the point where you can’t even describe it in words.” Further continuing, she added, “Like, she changed the sport so much. She’s introduced people that have never heard of tennis into the sport. I think I’m a product of what she’s done. I wouldn’t be here without Serena, Venus, her whole family. I’m, like, very thankful to her.”
