A New Privacy Feature will Soon be Delivered to WhatsApp Users – 24HTECH.ASIA

WhatsApp is working on its privacy features that will enable users to conceal particular information from others.

WhatsApp is Improving Its Privacy Features

WhatsApp is enhancing its privacy features, which are necessary when adding someone to your WhatsApp contact list and you require their telephone number. The messaging app has recently added tools that allow you to conceal your profile image, last seen status, and other information.

Another privacy feature that consumers will like is currently being tested. The latest Android beta version of WhatsApp claims that users will soon be able to make their online status the default for anybody who cannot view their last seen status or conceal it from everyone.

A public release may be forthcoming since the functionality was initially spotted by WABetaInfo on the iOS version and is now heading to an Android beta version. The tipper says that the new function will be added to Android beta version 2.22.16.12 in the following days, following which WhatsApp will make it available to all users.

According to reports, WhatsApp is introducing a new online status feature with two choices. Your last seen status may be hidden from everyone, including those who are not WhatsApp users. Alternately, you also can explicitly ask WhatsApp to pick depending on your preferences.

Additionally, since the second option is accessible, users can choose “Nobody” from the list to prevent anybody from seeing their last seen and online status.

WhatsApp lets Android users transmit their chats, videos, and photos to iOS. They may do so by following the app’s FAQ. WhatsApp says users can migrate chats from iOS to Android, although instructions aren’t currently available.

WhatsApp Users in Android Smartphones can Soon Hide Their Online Status

The service, which Meta owns, has been enhancing its privacy protections in addition to its fantastic already-existing features like WhatsApp Web. Recently, the capability to conceal the Last seen status from specific contacts was introduced.

In WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.22.16.12, a new setting has been found by the Wabetainfo team. You may now conceal WhatsApp’s online status thanks to a new feature.

Your Last seen settings are synchronized with this function. You may make your WhatsApp online status visible to those who can view your Last seen status or to everyone.

It is rather constricting to link this functionality to the Last seen status. Many users would welcome the option to conceal WhatsApp’s online status from one person. That is not currently possible with this feature. It may either keep your online status a secret from everyone or just the people you want to let know when you were last seen.

Regardless, this is a fantastic addition to WhatsApp’s official app. This will significantly reduce consumers’ likelihood of being dependent on third-party solutions that provide improved privacy features.

It’s imperative that WhatsApp provide users with new functionality. There are many more features in messaging services like Telegram’s competitors. It’s encouraging to see WhatsApp working hard to close the feature gap right now.
