Moments after Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Maharashtra Chief Minister along with NCP leader Ajit Pawar as his deputy, people took to social media to express shock and surprise over the unanticipated decision.

Following the oath ceremony of the two leaders, which was administered by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media to congratulated the two politicians. “I am confident they will work diligently for the bright future of Maharashtra,” he tweeted.
