Singapore Airlines unveils relaunched KrisShop e-commerce platform
Singapore Airlines’ (SIA) e-commerce platform KrisShop has today unveiled its official brand revamp with the launch of its new website KrisShop.com.
The rebranded KrisShop aims to improve the consumer shopping journey for both travellers and non-travellers, including the latest brand offerings and convenient pre-order and delivery options.
In response to “radical” digital disruption in the travel retail industry, KrisShop sought to create a holistic omnichannel approach to deliver an integrated shopping experience that engages its customers at every step of the journey – both online and offline. The move sees KrisShop.com advance beyond a retail catalogue, with the aim to re-invent itself as “the go-to lifestyle e-commerce website that caters to the needs of all shoppers, whether they are travelling or not.”

In celebration of the launch, which took place today at the newly-restored Raffles Hotel in Singapore, KrisShop showcased a curated a pop-up exhibition that is divided into several experiential zones, each showcasing a different retail feature of KrisShop.com.
“Beyond being a retail e-commerce site, KrisShop seeks to establish itself as a one-stop shopping destination, and is continually evolving to meet the needs and demands of today’s consumers. Leveraging our expertise in retail, we are proud to unveil the new KrisShop.com that aims to modernise the consumer shopping journey,” said Chris Pok, CEO of KrisShop during the event.
“The new KrisShop website and initiatives are designed with game-changing features that keep consumer experience at the forefront, and these can be experienced through our exhibition. Blending physical and digital touchpoints, the interactive exhibition communicates KrisShop’s new changes in a fun and compelling way, inviting consumers to witness the exciting opportunities and developments in action. KrisShop will continue to innovate in unchartered territory, and connect consumers to even more impressive offerings.”
Beyond the catalogue
The revamped website now sports a clean look with a brand new interface that includes intuitive features for quick and smooth navigation. KrisShop has also taken the opportunity to introduce multiple new initiatives for convenient payment, pre-order and delivery services. With the varied options, KrisShop aims to provide personalised experiences to suit the different lifestyles of consumers. The website is optimised by advanced technological and logistics capabilities, with the following initiatives to be rolled-out in the coming months:
• Multiple Payment Options
New payment options including KrisPay, Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, and Alipay, will be available on KrisShop.com for added flexibility and to cater to the different payment preferences of customers.
• Pre-order up to 60 mins before flight
This is an initiative that offers pre-order services available up to 60 minutes before selected SilkAir, Singapore Airlines and Scoot flights to cater to last minute shopping, with purchases delivered straight to the passenger’s seat onboard – a vast improvement from pre-ordering up to 24 hours before flight previously.
• Hotel Delivery
In collaboration with selected hotel groups, guests of the hotel may opt for their purchases to be delivered right to their rooms – enjoying an exclusive one-of-its-kind privilege.
• In-Flight Entertainment
Passengers can soon shop on KrisShop.com via Singapore Airlines’ in-flight entertainment system, and have their parcels delivered to their homes.
• Self-Collection POPStation
KrisShop will designate POPStations for hassle-free self-collection, marking the seamless convergence of online and offline consumer experience.
Pop-up exhibition
The exhibition brought to life the new website through a series of installations that feature existing and new initiatives by KrisShop. The installations allow guests to mirror the shopping experience on KrisShop.com as they tour through the respective touchpoints. The exhibition reflects the evolution of KrisShop as it responds to the constant shifts in customers’ expectations and preferences.
The tour begins with a journey through an immersive LED installation room that introduces guests to the new KrisShop. Upon exiting the immersive area, guests are led to experience the four KrisShop concept stores.
• With Love, SG: Spotlighting homegrown brands unique to Singaporean culture, With Love, SG is all about supporting local. The exhibition features a nostalgic Peranakan façade with windows and doors that can be opened for guests to explore the local products hidden behind.
• KrisShop Cares: In collaboration with The Art Faculty and Tinkle Arts, KrisShop Cares is dedicated to giving back to the community and supporting those in need. Net proceeds from the curated products and artworks will go towards the partner communities to support their cause and artists. Showcased on a spectacular projection wall, guests can appreciate the unique works of art featured under the KrisShop Cares collection.
• KrisShop Discovers: KrisShop Discovers houses niche creations curated by KrisShop. With each piece imbued with the rich heritage and personal stories of fine artisans around the world, this concept store takes guests on a global adventure to discover new and authentic products. Through an instagrammable swing and a wall featuring the latest KrisShop Discovers collections, the exhibition invites guests to follow KrisShop to discover new places and products.
• KrisShop Moments: KrisShop Moments is a brand-new concept store that offers customers a range of services including floral delivery, beauty and wellness treatments, special hotel room offers, hotel dining promotions, tourist experiences and more, designed to inspire people to create their very own special moments. The exhibition communicates this through a relaxing spa bed that invites guests to take some time to rest and live in the moment.
Exclusive product selection
Guests will also be offered a sneak peek into the new brands, airline exclusives and KrisShop Customise collections, as KrisShop aims to offer high-quality products. As a value-added service, KrisShop Customise offers customisation such as personalised engraving on fragrance bottles, wine bottles, and leather bag – ideal for gifting.
With the increased demand for a personalised and seamless shopping experience, KrisShop places consumers at the heart of its initiatives, diving deep into modern-day consumption patterns to fine-tune their offerings. Designing its pre-order and delivery services that enable ultimate convenience in retail, KrisShop is set to offer a highly enhanced shopping journey.
The exhibition is located at Raffles Hotel’s Palm ballroom, and will be open to the public from 23 to 24 August 2019, 10.00am to 7.00pm.
