Former Sina Weibo CFO Joins Baidu

Chinese search engine company Baidu announced that Yu Zhengjun, former chief financial officer of Sina Weibo, has joined Baidu as chief financial officer of the group company.

In this new role, Yu will fully lead the construction, development and operation of publicly-traded Baidu's financial system. Yu will directly report to Baidu's founder, chairman, and chief executive officer Robin Li.

Yu is a certified public accountant in California. He gained a Bachelor's degree of economics at University of California and a Master's degree of accounting at University of Southern California. Yu once worked for Adobe Systems, a Silicon Valley company.

Before joining Baidu, Yu was with Sina Group and Weibo for 13 years. From 2007 to 2014, he worked as chief financial officer of Sina and he started working as chief financial officer of Weibo from 2015.
