UK’s leading luxury e-commerce operator Net-a-Porter has launched a Chinese-language website, targeting the Asia Pacific market.
So far, Net-a-Porter has websites in English, French, German, and Chinese languages.
The Chinese Net-a-Porter website has a similar layout with the English one. Consumers can choose different product categories, including clothing, bags, shoes, and accessories, from the navigation bar. Meanwhile, like the English website, the world’s top luxury and designer brands such as Alexander McQueen, Emilio Pucci, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Lanvin, Miu Miu, and Valentino are available on this Chinese-language e-commerce website.
Apart from these products, the website also publishes fashionable e-magazines to provide dress rules, female aesthetics, and clothing suggestions to users.
For delivery, Net-a-Porter’s Chinese website can support the delivery to 170 countries and regions around the world. If the order is placed in Asia Pacific region, the website promises the arrival of the product within three working days and the delivery fee is USD15. To ensure safe delivery, Net-a-Porter buys insurance for each product during the transportation period. In addition, the company supports free-of-charge returns and an exchange policy.
For payment, Net-a-Porter accepts online payments with various international credit cards and bank cards, including Visa, MasterCard and American Express. It is still unclear how or if the website can provide a legally viable fapiao receipt inside mainland China.
Net-a-Porter was founded in 2000 by Natalie Massenet. It belongs to the world’s leading luxury group Richemont, which owns Cartier, Piaget, Montblanc, Lancel, and Dunhill.
