Lotte’s duty free store has launched the Chinese-language Internet shopping website, providing convenience to the ever-growing Chinese tourists in South Korea.
According to reports in South Korean local media, the new website started operating from December 28, 2012. It focuses on the sales of nearly 5,000 kinds of cosmetics and bag products, which are frequently bought by Chinese tourists. In addition, the website sets up a “South Korea Hall”, which provides Korean-made cosmetics and popular local brands.
A representative from Lotte Group said that Chinese tourists can complete their shopping in the online duty free store in South Korea, and pick up the goods when they finish their traveling and return to China. It will be convenient for those who have a tight schedule.
To help the smooth operation of the store, Lotte also signed an international settlement business agreement with the Chinese third-party online payment platform Alipay.com. In addition, Lotte plans to open customer service centers in China to offer Chinese-language customer services.
