Social networking site Renren.com announced that it will work with Singapore game developer Nubee to jointly provide Nubee’s Japan Life to users of Renren.com in China.
Japan Life is a simulation game with the theme of city construction developed by Nubee. This is the first time for the two companies to reach cooperation, and the two parties plan to expand their partnership to another of Nubee’s game named Demon Busters.
Japan Life will integrate Renren.com’s Internet payment system in its 1.4.4 version, allowing users to recharge their accounts with Renren.com’s virtual currency to buy gaming items.
Wu Jiang, vice president for Renren.com and general manager for wireless business, told local media that Renren.com still focuses on the development of the mobile Internet sector and continues to implement mobile open strategy. It is fully committed to the building of a mobile Internet ecosystem connecting users, terminals, and developers to benefit all parties, including users, developers and social platforms.
Statistics provided by Renren.com showed that by June 2012, the website had gained 160 million users and it maintained fast growth in the mobile Internet sector. The company said that over 60% of its users visit the website via mobile devices on a daily basis.
