Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has sent a notice to its users, saying that they will close the mobile data storage service HTCSense.com on April 30, 2012.
HTC said in the notice that HTCsense.com is undergoing a renovation to improve the services and value they deliver. Until the new services are ready, features previously available on HTCsense.com will be shutting down.
If users have been using HTCsense.com to synchronize contacts, messages, bookmarks or call history, they can download their data through April 30, 2012. After April 30, the data will no longer be accessible and will be deleted.
According to the guidance, users who want to transfer their data will need to login to HTCSense.com. By clicking the download button in the “Account Overview” column, they can get a compressed file, which contains all their data.
