The Russian innovation company i-Free has announced in Beijing that it will launch its top mobile phone applications products in the mainland China market.
These products include PowerAMP Music Player, a non-game application; some casual games produced by Alawar Entertainment, an international publisher and distributor of casual games; Smartive, i-Free self-developed mobile software which help users buy tickets; and The Pocket Blonde, a 3D anthropomorphic mobile phone assistant.
As a growing innovation company, i-Free says it has paid close attention to the development of the Chinese mobile Internet market, and it launched its Chinese subsidiary in Beijing in 2007. According to Evgeny Kosolapov, CEO for i-Free Asia, the company has located its Asian headquarters in Beijing to explore the potential of the Chinese market and to expand into the surrounding countries. The company is very confident in the development of the mobile Internet industry in China.
i-Free reportedly revealed at its press conference held in Moscow on April 18, 2011, that the company will take China as the first publishing region of its innovative contents to fully distribute its innovative application software and other products. At the same time, it will help developers from other countries to deliver their products to Chinese users.
Headquartered in St. Petersburg, i-Free’s focus is on pioneering projects in mobile and NFC technology, electronic finance, digital content distribution, electronic payments and micropayments, applications for smartphones and new network devices, B2C digital product marketing and B2B mobile marketing. With its products and services available in more than 100 countries, i-Free currently employs more than 350 staff. In 2010, i-Free claims its sales reached over USD160 million.
