Chinese online game developer and operator Linekong has announced that it has acquired the Chengdu-based 3D game studio named Wushuang, and will start the beta test of a new online game, Unparalleled Devil, on January 14, 2011.
Unparalleled Devil is a 3D massively multiplayer online role playing game developed by Wushuang Studio. It is a PVP-oriented game that is designed to offer players the chance to be part of the battle between immortals and devils. The new game uses the Unique 3D engine developed by the studio itself, featuring complete game development tools, high efficiency, and its support to the design of complex fighting actions. This online game product has completed two rounds of technical tests on the operation platform of Linekong since October 2010.
According to the marketing department of Linekong, like Warrior King — the company’s other online game to be launched soon — Unparalleled Devil will become its major 3D game product in 2011.
Established in 2007, Wushuang Studio was started by a batch of experienced game makers and the team has about 100 members, making it one of the largest 3D online game research and development studios in Chengdu. After joining Linekong, Wushuang will continue to focus on the development of 3D MMORPGs.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
