China’s Xinhua News Agency and Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited have signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation framework agreement for media cooperation.
Chen Tianqiao, chairman of Shanda, signed the agreement with the head of Xinhua News Agency Shanghai office; and Lu Wei, vice president of Xinhua News Agency attended the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement signed by the two parties, they will combine Xinhua News Agency’s content, including text, photos and videos, with Shanda’s network, videos and interactive entertainment to provide users with the most accurate, timely and authoritative information.
Shanda has many branded Internet subsidiaries, including Shanda Games, Shanda Online, Shanda Literature, Shanda Music, and Ku6.com. Meanwhile, it is actively developing new areas like the Internet of Things and cloud computing. With the cooperation, Xinhua News Agency and Shanda will establish a powerful terminal for local users.
