Chinese budget hotel chain GreenTree Inns Hotel Management Group announced it has established a partnership with Expedia, the world’s largest online travel company.
Through this partnership, travelers will be able to book GreenTree Inn properties in more than 100 Chinese cities on more than 90 Expedia- and Hotels.com-branded travel booking sites worldwide.
Xu Shuguang, chairman of GreenTree Inn, said the group is delighted to work with Expedia to extend the reach of the GreenTree Inn brand to online travel shoppers around the world. He also hopes that this collaboration could help GreenTree Inn continue to grow and advance the brand as the leading business hotel chain in China.
The relationship with GreenTree Inn is in line with Expedia’s commitment to expand the selection of quality accommodations it offers to travelers worldwide, while also providing a unique opportunity to hotel partners like GreenTree Inn to show themselves to the world, said Cyril Ranque, vice president of Expedia Partner Services Group, Asia Pacific. Expedia will help GreenTree Inn develop the most effective distribution strategy possible by support of its consumer online travel intelligence, marketing expertise and revenue management resources.
This partnership follows the cooperation between Expedia and hotel connectivity provider Chinaonline last month, which will facilitate the sharing of rates and inventory information between Expedia and GreenTree Inn properties.
