Information from China Publishing Group is that the company has reached an in-depth cooperation with the world’s leading software maker Oracle to build a digital publishing resource management platform with Oracle’s general content management solution.
Commenting on the cooperation, Liu Chengyong, general manager for the digital media branch of China Publishing Group, told local media that Oracle has a complete and mature technology platform to realize safe, standardized, and orderly accumulation and management of digital resources, so as to provide support for China Publishing Group’s further establishment of a digital publishing service platform.
Many Chinese publishing groups have recently paid more attention to the digital publishing sector. Prior to this, Phoenix Publishing & Media Group and Prime View International Company from Taiwan signed a joint venture letter of intent to launch an electronic schoolbag project targeting the education market; Chongqing Publishing Group announced plans to work with Hanvon to establish the largest e-book manufacturing base in Southwest China; and Shanghai Century Publishing Group said it will launch a content platform.
The financial terms of this deal have not been disclosed.
