China’s Ganji.com, Dianping.com Form Strategic Alliance

Chinese lifestyle websites Ganji.com and Dianping.com have inked a strategic cooperation to provide comprehensive lifestyle information services to netizens across China.

Yang Haoyong, founder and CEO of Ganji.com, told local media that the cooperation with Dianping.com is an important measure for Ganji.com’s nationwide cooperation and expansion strategy in 2010. Ganji.com is originally from Beijing, while Dianping.com originated in Shanghai, and now both of the two websites are leading lifestyle service websites that cover the entire Chinese market. He believed the cooperation will accelerate their distribution across the country and will further enhance their leading positions.

Zhang Tao, founder and CEO of Dianping.com, said that with the strategic cooperation, the advantageous resources of the two parties can be integrated, providing netizens with more convenient information services and fun of Internet life.

So far, Ganji.com has reached strategic partnership with enterprises from many industries. For regional cooperation, the website has joined hands with Enorth.com.cn, Ddmap.com, Eastday.com, Southcn.com, Dayoo.com, and Oeeee.com, to provide lifestyle information services that suit the local features and demands.

The financial details of the deal were not revealed.
